Achievements and Quests
Look, we all know support work doesn't come with a lot of external validation. You solve someone's problem, they say "thanks," and then immediately forget you exist. That's just how it goes.
But what if your software actually noticed when you did something awesome? What if there were badges, unlocks, and challenges that made every day feel like progress?
That's achievements. That's quests. That's cStar actually paying attention.
How Achievements Work
Achievements are badges you unlock by hitting milestones. Some are easy ("close your first ticket"), some take dedication ("100-ticket streak without missing an SLA"), and some are just plain fun.
When you unlock an achievement:
- You get a satisfying notification (with sound effects, because of course)
- It shows up on your profile
- You earn bonus XP (usually 34-89 XP depending on rarity)
- Your teammates can see it and be jealous
Achievement Categories
Ticket Master Series
The core achievements for actually doing your job:

Streak Master Series

Team Player Series
Because support is a team sport:
- First Fist Bump (8 XP) - Send your first One-Up to a teammate
- Team Spirit (21 XP) - Send 10 One-Ups. Spread the love.
- Popular Pick (34 XP) - Receive 10 One-Ups. Your team appreciates you.

- Raid Leader (89 XP) - Deal the final blow to 10 bosses. Clutch moments define legends.
CSAT All-Star Series
For making customers genuinely happy:
- Five Stars (13 XP) - Get your first 5-star CSAT rating
- Customer Favorite (34 XP) - Get 25 five-star ratings. You're really good at this.
- Hall of Fame (55 XP) - Maintain >90% 5-star CSAT over 100 tickets. Consistency wins.
- Perfect Record (89 XP) - Get 50 five-star ratings in a row. This shouldn't be possible, but here you are.
Knowledge Keeper Series
For the people who actually write documentation:
- First Article (13 XP) - Create your first help center article. Thank you for documenting.
- Librarian (34 XP) - Create 25 articles. You're building a knowledge empire.
- Most Helpful (55 XP) - Have an article referenced 100 times. This article is carrying the team.
- Author of the Year (89 XP) - Create 100 articles. You've basically written a book at this point.
Daily Quests
Every day, you get 3 random quests. Complete them for bonus XP. They reset at midnight UTC (because consistency matters).
Example quests:
- Close 5 tickets (13 XP)
- Send 3 Quick Replies (8 XP)
- Give a teammate a One-Up (8 XP)
- Achieve a Gold SLA (21 XP)
- Update 2 customer profiles (13 XP)
- Use a knowledge base article in a response (13 XP)
Complete all 3 daily quests and you get a streak bonus. 7 days in a row? Special achievement unlocked.
The Math Behind XP
Achievement XP follows the Fibonacci sequence because we're nerds and it scales nicely:
- Common achievements: 8 XP
- Uncommon: 13 XP
- Rare: 21 XP
- Epic: 34 XP
- Legendary: 55 XP
- Mythic: 89 XP
This matches the XP you earn from tickets, so everything compounds. A mythic achievement is worth the same as a 6.854x streak ticket with Gold SLA. The math checks out.
Viewing Your Progress
Hit Profile (or press P) to see:
- All unlocked achievements
- Progress toward locked achievements (with exact numbers)
- Daily quest status
- Achievement rarity stats (how many people have unlocked each one)
You can also see your teammates' achievements. A little healthy competition never hurt anyone.
Hidden Achievements
Yeah, there are secret achievements. We're not telling you what they are. You'll know when you unlock one.
Here's a hint though: they involve doing something unexpected, creative, or borderline absurd. Think outside the ticket queue.
FAQ
Q: Can I buy achievements? A: Absolutely not. Achievements are earned, not purchased. This isn't a freemium game.
Q: What happens when I unlock all achievements? A: First, touch grass - you've been grinding too hard. Second, we add new achievements regularly. The game never ends.
Q: Do achievements do anything besides look cool? A: They unlock profile customization options (borders, badges, titles). Plus they give you bragging rights. Isn't that enough?
Q: Why Fibonacci for XP? A: Because the golden ratio (φ = 1.618) appears everywhere in nature and mathematics, and we use it for streak multipliers. Using Fibonacci keeps the whole system mathematically elegant. Also it's cooler than just "10, 20, 30."
Achievements aren't just participation trophies. They're proof you showed up, did the work, and went beyond. Plus Ultra isn't just a phrase - it's a challenge.
Now go unlock something.
